Dobby
Hi, I am looking for a pet duck house that can be in a yard. Not a chicken coop. Can you please lead me in the right direction? All I can find are chicken coops or storage sheds. I DONOT have any blueprints, but I am happy to try to explain what I need if there is someone/someplace near DuBois, that I can get one built"?" Thanks for reading:)

Petee
All ducks need is shelter from the wind. They don't roost. If you are going to enclose them for safety from predators then it will need a tight door to be closed at dark and opened at daybreak. Don't put food or water in it but do add some straw. Ducks should be able to get out during all daylight hours. Here's a good link from Cornell University: http://www.duckhealth.com/housmngt.html How many ducks are you planning for? Laying ducks? Petee
I have friends with Pekins who have had eggs all the time ever since last summer. Huge beautiful eggs that make wonderful noodles.
