    Donald L. Blose (age 81)

    Donald L. Blose, age 81 of DuBois, PA, died Friday, July 16, 2021 at his home. Born on May 22, 1940 in DuBois, PA, he was the son of the late Donald G. and Mary “Vada” (Maloney) Blose. Don was a veteran of the United States Army. He retired from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Social Services as an investigator after many years of service. Previous to that he had worked at Penn Traffic Riverside. Don was a graduate of the Indiana University of Pennsylvania and had a Masters Degree from Xavier University. He was a member of the Ohio and Pennsylvania Antique Gun Collectors Club. Don frequented Austria and Germany often dealing Antique Schuetzen rifles and spending time with his many friends there. He also loved to golf and hunt. Don is survived by one daughter (Stacy Sandy and her husband Pat of Urbana, OH), two grandchildren (Ryan Tilson and his wife Alexis and Arrah Sandy both of Ohio), two great grandchildren (Reagan and Skylar Tilson) and one sister. There will be no public visitation and a private service will be held. Memorial donations may be made to U.S. Patriot Softball Team, PO Box 75345, Tampa, FL 33675 and /or a charity of the donor’s choice.
