Sorry for your loss also. I have three Rottie mixes and two are twelve. I dread the day I have to say goodbye to them.

  3. I am sure they do now there also. This was back in the early 80's. In Forida where I lived when I was young for years it was the same. We got an inch of snow that I remember back in the early 70's and while we kids loved it I am sure the adults didn't. I remember the same scenario back then people spinning everywhere but then again there were a lot of muscle cars and mostly all were rear wheel drives. It only lasted about two or three hours.
  4. Yep that is true. When I lived in North Carolina one inch of snow and the natives could not drive. Funny thing was it was mostly flat and a slight grade and they would just floor it spin and slip and slide into a ditch or yard. It sure was funny to drive buy all those people standing by their cars as I drove past without even spinning a tire. The look on their faces was priceless.
  5. They better be laying gold or platinum eggs.
  6. peppers done fairly well. I did not lpant many. Tomatoes are doing great and so is the celery. Watermelons I have a half dozen or more of a couple varieties. Picked my last onion tonight. Wahhhh. This is the first time I got onions to grow bigger than what I started with.
  7. It is a nice body style. Getting a 2 1/2 inch leveling kit put on Friday to give it a better stance, The front ends are a bit lower than the rear end. It will level it out and then raise it a bit both front and back nothing to drastic. This one should last me until I kick the bucket. I am not buying another one that is unless I win the lottery and I will need one to haul some of those southern chickens up here.
  8. I jumped off the cliff and bought a new Chevy 1/2 ton crew cab. My old one was on its last legs and with the rust issues, mechanical issues, well it was time to just bite the bullet and get one. It stickered for over half of what I paid for my home 14 years ago (sickening). I was going to get the 3/4 ton but the LT 1500's had way better rebates. It hasn't hurt yet but it will when the payment starts in October. Not that I am cheap but I was just starting to save some cash.
  9. Hmmmmm with the Godubois discount and the family discount I may be overpaying. LOL Hopefully this will be something my Granddaughter will cherish and be a remembrance of Great-Grandpap and Pappy. Every time she jumps in it she will remember us both. Great Grandpap winning it and Pappy buying it and giving it to her. Heck who knows maybe me and Mr. D can take it the car shows along with the future owner and create more memories together.
  10. I was shocked you won the play dough from the other raffle. about time you finally hit it big again on those chances you buy.
  11. and I just bought it off the guy who won it. It will be for my Granddaughter she is only two and a half now. lol
  12. and no I did not win it I just found these pics online of it so I thought I would share what was won
  13. This is the car that was won. I am not a ford guy but its not bad. 1966 ford mustang 6cylinder

  15. So Sorry to hear that soccermom. Our pets are like family and it is tough to let them go. I still think of my past buds to this day. They left a lasting impression and brought tons of joy and that is what I remember most about them. Each had their own personalities and quirks. Remember the good times you had with your friend and know you are relieving his/her suffering. http://jeffersonanimalclinic.com/ Jefferson Animal Clinic in Brookville 715-7467
  16. I am also a chevy man. If it is any consolation his 2014 probably can be sold for not much less than what he paid for it back then from the prices I have seen in the used car lots.
  17. yep used truck prices are holding their value as well. I bet if gasoline went up another $1 prices would fall rapidly as no one would be buying except people who needed them for work etc. I may break down and get a new 3/4 ton. I really like my truck but it is only a half ton and I need something just a bit bigger to haul with. I have looked at and gotten prices of used ones and they are 30 to 35k and they are three years old. I may as well buy a new one and get a good warranty and keep it till I die
  18. Has anyone seen the price of new and used trucks lately. Wow When I see prices of 45,000 on new ones and that's one of the middle of the road ones I think wow. Used truck prices for something with over 100,000 miles on it for 20,000 thats 7 years old and 3 year old ones for 35,000 well thats just to darn much. I make good money but I wont throw it away. Looks like I may just do a complete resto on mine and save between 15,000 and 40,000.
  19. hehe I neither have the time or ambition for this. I am seriously considering raised beds. I may make some forms and just make them out of concrete but like most of my other ideas they just gather dust in the back of my head
  20. I just drag and drop them onto the message box. It is so much easier than the old way of searching and uploading. Now I just have my file folder open the one containing the pics I shrunk to size and just left click and hold and then drag them across the screen and drop(take my finger off the left button.). I also use this site to bulk shrink them and do the same thing I just drag on drop them onto the websites box and them just click save zip. The nice thing about this site it shrinks to the same needed automatically. The size is on the right of the screen and you can change it but I dont and they come out great as you see. http://birme.net/ On my computer I just put in the SD card out of my camera into the slot on the front of my computer and it does everything automatically for the most part. It uploads them from the SD card onto the computer. Now you have to know where they are going to in order to find them again. When I find the ones I downloaded after shrinking them I just make a new folder in my pics folder and name it something I will remember. I copy them all and just paste them in that new folder. I only do this for posting on this site since I have tons of pics and need to just upload the ones I just shrunk and if I need to upload later I have them by themselves.
