I did a quick search, found nothing. Maybe cut & paste the story or link?

Just wondering… It is this weekend and haven’t seen any of the normal lists of events, activities or vendors. I know there’s going to be a parade, because I saw all the yellow barricades ready to go on all the streets. Haven’t seen any placed chairs though.

Curious. The City Controller is on the ballot, but just the incumbent listed. Doesn’t the controller have some responsibility with the city’s finances? I am not sure what role the position plays in the overall scheme of things.

Far from neatness. Trees are butchered
Yes. The trees are being shredded. Limbs look look they were were just pulled off the still standing trees, stumps look the same. A lot of the trees left probably won’t be very healthy.
Who’s idea was it to do it that way and who is doing the “clearing”.?

Thank you. Replied.

I was wondering if there was a place in or around DuBois that took cars and RVs without a title. A family recently inherited a property and there are vehicles to remove. Don’t really want to pay for titles to turn around and scrap them, unless necessary.

Found this:
[Amended 12-11-2006 by Ord. No. 1707]A.The City Manager shall be the chief administrative officer of the City of DuBois, appointed by a majority vote of the City Council. He/she shall serve at the discretion of the City. In addition thereto:(1)The Manager shall be responsible to direct, supervise and manage the administration of all departments, offices and agencies of the City, except the Volunteer Fire Department, which shall report directly to the Mayor and City Council.…So looks like the City council can just meet & vote to get rid of him, since he serves at their discretion. -

Hi. Just wondering if anyone here burns the dyed kerosene in their heaters indoors. I have heard a lot of different reasons to not use it. Heard that it’s only dyed red to keep people from cheating on taxes and that it just hardens the wick quicker than clear.
The clear off the store shelves is just so pricey compared to the dyed pumped per gallon. No one in DuBois sells kerosene at the pump, have to go to Sykesville for a pump and it’s dyed.
Thank you for any information.

Unfortunately, finding someone cheap is hard, and possibly risky. You need someone who is trained/Certified and INSURED! Otherwise a tree could be the least of your problems. Go to www.budsgardeners.com and then to the "Buy Local" page. There are some on there.
We're having a dead pear tree taken down tomorrow morning and I know it won't be cheap but we've had this guy several times before and his work is excellent. He'll work with you as much as possible within the lines of safety. Old Hickory.
I went to that page, but didn’t see anything listed for tree removal. I checked under Wood-chips, but didn’t see any businesses listed. I am using my phone , so maybe didn’t load correctly?

Anyone know someone in the area that doesn’t charge an arm and a leg to trim or take damaged trees down? They don’t need to take the tree limbs/logs, I can do that. Thanks!

I am doing some yard work. I have some brush & small tree limbs that I need to get rid of. Is there a place in DuBois I can drop them off to be used by the local gardeners?
