  1. That is very helpful! Thank you for the info, wonderer!
  2. Thanks, Jetta! I am actually excited about this thing now. I haven't killed it yet, so that's a good sign lol
  3. Awesome, thanks! Thats what I initially thought since they are common in the store around Christmas. However when I read about them online it said there should be a flower stalk?...but then again, that isn't to say that the kid or the cats broke it off ;D. I'll have to move it to the porch in a few weeks then. Thanks!
  4. My daughter got a bulb kit for Christmas, but put to together at my mother's place and threw the box out. No one there can remember what it is (lol or even who gave it to her to ask them!). I'm sure it is something simple and common but I am not a green thumb at all! The plant is doing good, but I do not know what to with it now. If I could identify it, I'd know if I have to plant it outside or keep it in but get it in a larger pot. Thanks in advance!!! PS - The cats knocked some of the dirt out earlier, I will put more back in today lol
  5. lol probably related to my husband as well. I started doing his family tree a few weeks ago...Duttry, Bundy, and Beers are reoccurring names.
  6. I was getting free baby formula for a couple months there (before my son was changed to prescription formula). I was able to trade the checks that come in the mail with other moms and combine coupons and sales. I do not have time for much clipping anymore, so I try to stock up when I see the good prices. My stockup prices are: Baby Wipes - a penny each or less Diapers - 10 cents a piece or less TP - 23 cents or less for a roll Paper Towels - 50 cents or less a roll Laundry Soap - Less than 12 cents a load Amazon usually has good deals. They can sometimes be hit or miss though, so sign up with a blogger who checks their prices each day on stock up items so that you know when the best ones are on.
  7. I am so sorry for your loss, Bon. What a beautiful cat!
  8. You may be related to my husband then. His mom was a Duttry. But then again, I understand that there are quite a few Duttry clans, as his sister married into another Duttry clan lol
  9. Very cool!!! I've been bugging my husband to take me to the old coke ovens in Tyler. There is a cache in there I am after, but even more so, I just want to experience the history! Question though...is the Catholic church in the picture, the same church building that is still standing?
  10. Aww I am so sorry Such a pretty little pup
  11. I did a bit or reading online not too long ago about local hauntings when a local group was trying to start up to investigation paranormal activity in the area. Do you have the stories yet about the old Central Catholic Building, Luthersburg Field and I think another part of DRMC is said to be haunted. The area that used to be the old convent. I've also read about parts of 80 that are haunted, notably the stretch between Penfield and Clearfield where as I recall a businessman passing through crashed. I'm going to have to see if I can find them all again. I am so interesting in all of that!
  12. I just read in one of my magazines to spray the plants with a solution of hot sauce with water. Interested to hear if anyone else heard this or had any luck with it.
  13. Have you tried Sharpie Industrial Strength? They are more durable than regular permanent markers. A friend of mine uses a numbering system. She has all the plants listed by number in her computer. She uses a stencil and spray paints numbers on some sort of plastic garden markers.
  14. That is so pretty!! I love lilacs!
  15. In my thoughts and prayers. RIP Cody
  16. I will take a look at the plant and see what I can do it separate it. Thank you, Lavender! Looks like I am making a trip to the greenhouse this weekend for some soil and a new planter. I'd love to see it thrive again.
  17. Petee, this is perfect. Thank you! My Mom always watered it from the top which probably explains why it is looking like it needs a little extra love. I'll get it a new set-up (main pot was sitting in a decorative basket rather than on a plate or bowl) and keep it off the window.
  18. Thank you, jetta. That i did not know
