Petee, When you figure out who the girls are that you are keeping, I vote to name one of them DooBwa and a second one FluffyButt!

Another thing people should realize, and I'm not bragging about my equipment, but I have a $400 incubator. All the bells and whistles, digital temp and humidity control, automatic turning, insulated ABS plastic shell, highly advanced air distribution, etc... plug it in and walk away.
Petee is using styrofoam with a simple element. She may not even have a fan to more evenly distribute the heat. She has to measure, set, and monitor her temperature. She has to measure her own humidity. She has to hand turn the eggs several times per day. When she lifts the lid then puts it back on, it takes a while to stabilize. Mine returns to temperature in 30 seconds. I do this every 10 days, she is using an incubator that her adult son tried to eat the last time she had it out.
    I'm very impressed

Yes, it's looks like there may be no one action on the horizon.  I see no more active pips but it's hard to tell without removing them from the incubator.  Tomorrow I'll candle them again and dispose of anything that isn't dark.

These chicks are the cutest things.  Black top and white puffy bottoms.  It looks like they have a fuzzy pom pom under their butts.

In my defense, that offer was made before I joined the debate forum

These photos sure won't ever win a prize, but I think you can get the picture!

My son and I tried to get pictures this evening but the plastic windows are very yellowed from age.  Just as soon as I can safely remove them from the incubator I will take pictures and post them.

It popped out of the shell about 5:30 and immediately made its way to the front of the incubator where there's a little light.  It's knocking all of the other eggs around and I think it's egg #2.  I forgot that I had set them in order in the incubator.

I thought I heard a peep this morning, and tonight it's a definite.  One of them is in there just peeping away!  Even though this is what I've been working for, it's still a surprise that there are actual living chicks in there!  Hopefully there will be babies in the morning.

I used an LED flashlight last night without much success, but I did find one that had come in the mail with hairline cracks.  I was incubating it anyway but realized that the cracks were widening and a small chunk of the shell had dropped away with a slight leakage of fluid so I circular filed it.  However, I opened it first and there was definitely an embryo so there has been fertilization.  I'm off today to find the brightest flashlight I can find.

Today they will each be numbered and photographed so everyone can now keep track of what's going on.  Originally there were 25 eggs so they will be numbered from 1-22.  #1 came broken, #2 broke in the incubator, #3 had the cracks and leakage.  When they hatch I will try to connect the chick with the egg shell.  Unless they sneak out when I'm not watching it should be fun tracking them.

I had been told that, but was asked not to post it online until it was made public. I'll bump the thread for you

I know Petee is probably gone for a while, so for you guys keeping track, if she set this morning they will be due on May 18. The hatch usually lasts 18-32 hours, so they could start hatching around the evening of the 17th, and it could stretch into the 19th or 20th

My husband just popped in the door to tell me that the eggs are here!  I just have time to settle them in the incubator before I leave for the day.  Hooray.  Start counting.

Anxiously waiting birth announcement! If any hatch, maybe Petee will let us suggest names for one of them!

I am so sorry. My prayers go out to her family and especially her children. It was apparent how much she loved them and that they were the most important part of her life. They will always know how much they were loved.

Maybe try soaking a few in water overnight before planting? Don't give up on them yet! Sometimes they can take up to 3 weeks to germinate.
