    A. Do you have proof of this?

    B. Who cares? Obviously if the police didn't arrest her, it may not have happened or been a big deal.

    C. The bigger issue is the lack of volunteer firefighters because that seems to be the reason there is no parade or community days.  No help. It is probably time for a non-fire department group to take over.

    A. Yes, it’s on posted videos of community days. They’re in the background.

    B. It did happen, police only do what they’re told to do. They were told to ignore as they should have.

I am not against partying at all. Actually totally for it as I feel it brings a happy life to the weekend. If people wouldn’t end up fist fighting, I think the city should have ran a beer tent as that’s an east way to make revenue for a fundraiser, ask anyone who was involved with the St. Michaels Festival before they lost their volunteers too. However, she cannot come in and preach that she is going to change everything and make everyone accountable if she herself did not go through the proper channels. Practice what you preach.

    Yes.

You can also drive on the sidewalk too.

Any police charges will be dismissed!

I think there are sidewalks all the way to the Sandy Club.

Exactly my point. The new council has stressed transparency and straightening the corruption out. A permit is required for situations like this. I would be more than willing to say the proper channels were not taken. This carries a fine of up to $1000. All established by a previous city council.

You can do that. Been doing that for years at various parties along the Clearfield Fireman's parade route.

So you're saying it is legal for me to walk down the sidewalk during the Community Days Firemans Parade with a sixer and just drink away as I walk?

People aren’t allowed to have parties now? Lol

Pennsylvania has an open container law, and the last time I checked, it wasn’t waived for community days.

What is actually still inside that would need to be refurbished for 2.2 Million? They did a lot of the outside improvements to have the PIAA select them as a go to place. I realize costs have increased but let us know what needs to be done now.

There are a handful of old classrooms that used to be used for vocational classes.  The last time a room was used was for the food bank.  I believe they are used simply used to store old furniture and trash.  2.2 million is a lot of money.  My question on the use of it would be if it is going into the structure or not.  I know the stadium has leaked for years before it was resealed thus may have compromised the integrity of the metal structure.  I would assume there is asbestos that needs to be removed as well.  If the majority of the 2.2 million is to address the health and safety of students and spectators, I am all for it.   However, if its for frivolous spending, I believe some reconsideration needs to be done.  The district turned down paying a bocce ball coach as a regular sports coach because it was too expensive and didn't have the money, but yet we have the money to consider this?

Seems T-mobile are updating their terms of service. I see some lawsuits coming if they actually enforce their new code of conduct. BTW who decides what hate speech is. I wonder if they will fine people who are Trump supporters who say they will vote for him. They even say about swearing they will fine you. . We will see what will happen. I thought about t-mobile but not now. Look at the video 11:45 and it has terms of service that shows about campaign content. Are they going to start fining all republicans if they do not agree with their views. Also why are they reading your texts etc?

You own the phone,  however you don't own the media at which the information is transmitted across.  They are allowed to monitor their lines all they want, however they cannot monitor your specific device without a warrant.

I understand why you want a clean sweep but let's wait for the new City Council members and Mayor decide what really needs to happen. There are too many moving parts to just fire all the department heads at this point and their contracts or articles of employment need to be examined.

You're right, we have to see what the new council's agenda is first.

The devil is in the details!  How were items presented to the council or were steps taken to consolidate decision making into a select few (if so, why?)?  One would have to believe that with the severity of a federal case, anyone in the know would start 'fessing up.  I would also believe that Waste Management is not going to give cover to the city.

Waste management can do whatever they want with their money as they are a private entity.  As for what the city did with that money is not on them.  I really doubt they have any other information to give on how the city used the money they gave back.  I would also assume that many of the "brass" of the city had some knowings on what was going on. Personally, I feel the only way to move forward may be a clean sweep of all departments.  Out with the old and in with the new.  Everything from city manager, redevelopment, police, etc.

I don’t believe this for one minute…Chris Nasuti is the one for the job..and the harassment sure did not come from those you just accused!

Then who was it?  These are the ones that are constantly bashing every single decision that is made and posting it all on social media. Chris is an educated and trained engineer. He could make so much more money out in private sector without all the drama and backlash.

Community Days is a go! June 16-17.  Lots of activities, bands and shows to watch. Food booths as well. Parade and fireworks will be Saturday!!

Last I heard they are still looking for food booths to fill slots. They are usually full months ahead of the time.

How is that any of your business? Most of the council members have full time jobs other than council.  Council pays basically nothing.

I’m a tax payer. I need to know that any elected official has the time to properly complete their civil duty.

I didn't think anyone thought that a DuBois city council position equated to a full time job-even in light of this mess that will need to be cleaned up.

Never said it was a full time job. But if he’s a big time Pittsburgh attorney for a big corporation, they typically expect 50-60 hours a week and being on call 24/7.

  15. 5 minutes ago, YourBoy said:

He’s a corporate attorney.  Doesn’t have individual clients and won’t be quitting his day job.

What corporation?  A big Pittsburgh one?  Do they know the responsibility he’s taking on and the amount of time it will take away from his current position?

A lot of people work remotely today...quality workers included. Remember Covid?  As a matter of fact, North Central Regional Planning and Development was a part of a project that was advertising the region in large cities to entice remote workers to relocate here to live cheaply, enjoy the outdoors and build up our population since it is dropping...and build the tax base, too, I suppose.  This isn't 1980 anymore.

Yeah. Remote is saving a lot of COMPANIES money. However, imagine contacting this “big Pittsburgh attorney” in DuBois and setting up a meeting to discuss your deepest issues, just to find out that you get to sit in his living room with his kids running around. Now that’s confidential and professional!!  Apparently he doesn’t like being an attorney much considering this is already the second public office he has tried to get on in the last couple years.
