Who is Jim Baker? He's the former general counsel of the FBI (2014-18) and one of the most powerful men in the U.S. intelligence community. Baker has moved in and out of government for 30 years, serving stints at CNN, Bridgewater (a $140 billion asset management firm), and the Brookings Institution. As general counsel of the FBI, Baker played a central role in making the case internally for an investigation of Donald Trump.

Baker wasn't the only senior FBI executive involved in the Trump investigation to go to Twitter. Dawn Burton, the former deputy chief of staff to FBI head James Comey, who initiated the investigation of Trump, joined Twitter in 2019 as director of strategy.

JAMES BAKER, TWITTER LAWYER FIRED BY ELON MUSK, PLAYED KEY ROLE IN FBI'S TRUMP-RUSSIA COLLUSION PROBE

As of 2020, there were so many former FBI employees — "Bu alumni" — working at Twitter that they had created their own private Slack channel and a crib sheet to onboard new FBI arrivals.

Efforts continued to influence Twitter's Yoel Roth. In September 2020, Roth participated in an Aspen Institute "tabletop exercise" on a potential "Hack-and-Dump" operation relating to Hunter Biden The goal was to shape how the media covered it — and how social media carried it.

The organizer was Vivian Schiller, the former CEO of NPR, the former head of news at Twitter, the former general manager of The New York Times, and the former Chief Digital Officer of NBC News. Attendees included Facebook’s head of security policy and the top national security reporters for The New York Times, CNN, and The Washington Post.

By mid-September, 2020, the FBI’s Chan and Roth had set up a special encrypted messaging network so employees from FBI and Twitter could communicate. They also agreed to create a "virtual war room" for "all the [Internet] industry plus FBI and ODNI" [Office of the Director of National Intelligence].

Pentagon considers back pay for troops discharged over now-repealed COVID vaccine mandate

Former Vice President Mike Pence said on Wednesday that all service members discharged for refusing the mandate should get full back pay

Finally, something that makes sense. This money should come out of the pockets of the stupid politicians and Fauci.

Well, so much for something that makes sense.

The Pentagon on Tuesday shut down speculation it’s considering back pay for service members it discharged for refusing to get a COVID-19 vaccine, distancing itself from an already politically hazardous issue that has become even more prejudicial for the military with Republican control of Congress.

U.S. service members who were fired for refusing to comply with the Pentagon's COVID-19 vaccine mandate are now being forced to pay back their original recruitment bonuses, which they tell Fox News Digital is a "kick in the face" after years of dedicating their lives to protecting the country.

One former Army soldier who was fired for refusing to get the COVID-19 vaccine last May told Fox News Digital that he would have to pay back his original signing bonus upon his termination from the military because he did not complete the commitment in his contract.

The soldier had signed a contract with the Army for six years and received a $7,000 bonus. However, because he fell short of the six years, the military notified him that he owed the government a prorated amount of slightly over $4,000. In order to pay it back, he ended up having to "sell" 60 of his unused vacation days to cover the amount owed.

Dems propose 8.7% pay raise for federal workers to make up for COVID, Trump

Federal workers are the government's 'greatest asset,' the Democratic sponsor of the bill claimed

House Democrats proposed legislation this week that would give more than 2 million federal workers an 8.7% pay raise in 2024, a raise they say is needed because they suffered through both the COVID pandemic and the Trump administration.

"For years now, federal employees have risked their health and safety working on the frontlines of this pandemic," said Rep. Gerry Connolly, D-Va., who sponsored the bill. "They were subjected to the Trump Administration’s cruel personal attacks, unsafe work environments, pay freezes, government shutdowns, sequestration cuts, furloughs, and mindless across-the-board hiring freezes."

President Biden signed an executive order late last year giving federal workers a 4.6% pay raise in 2023, an act that Congress chose not to override in the $1.7 trillion spending bill it passed at the end of the year.

The testimony comes after Missouri and Louisiana filed a lawsuit against the Biden administration, alleging that President Biden and members of his team "colluded with social media giants Meta, Twitter, and YouTube to censor free speech in the name of combating so-called ‘disinformation’ and ‘misinformation.’"

The lawsuit alleges that coordination led to the suppression and censorship of truthful information "on a scale never before seen" using examples of the COVID lab-leak theory, information about COVID vaccinations, Hunter Biden’s laptop, and more.

The lawsuit is currently in discovery, and Thursday’s hearing is expected to feature witness testimony that will detail evidence collected to show the Biden administration has "coerced social media companies to censor disfavored speech."

"Discovery obtained by Missouri and Louisiana demonstrated that the Biden administration’s coordination with social media companies and collusion with non-governmental organizations to censor speech was far more pervasive and destructive than ever known," Schmitt will testify, according to prepared testimony obtained by Fox News Digital.

Arizona House expels GOP lawmaker over unproven claims

Story by By JONATHAN J. COOPER, Associated Press  Wednesday

PHOENIX (AP) — The Arizona House of Representatives on Wednesday expelled a Republican lawmaker who organized a presentation making unsubstantiated accusations that a wide range of politicians, judges and public officials of both parties took bribes from a Mexican drug cartel.

Rep. Liz Harris, a prominent supporter of discredited election conspiracies, was kicked out of the Legislature in a bipartisan vote after the presentation by an Arizona insurance agent. The lawmaker's ouster came a day after the House Ethics Committee determined Harris had engaged in “disorderly behavior” in violation of the chamber's rules.

Changes in the Last Hundred Years

The U.S. has been steadily adding back forests since the 1940s. According to The North American Forest Commission, we have two-thirds of the trees that we had in the year 1600. But the news isn’t all good – cities in the US have been quickly losing critical urban forests.

But overall, the U.S. has 8% of the total forests in the world and reached a point in 1997 where growth  “exceeded harvest by 42%,” and we were growing forests at a rate of roughly four times faster than we were in 1920 when our chop-happiness began to level out due to environmental and recreational concerns regarding timber harvest.

The total tree gains have been most heavily concentrated on America’s eastern coast, where trees have doubled in the last 70 years. The eastern shore was home to the most aggressive timber harvests after being hit by waves of arriving European colonizers in the 17th Century.

Related: What is the impact of 1 tree?

Colonizers did not reach the West Coast until much later, and so the economy of the West–particularly the Northwest–continues to rely more heavily on the Timber industry, meaning that our numbers over here in Oregon have been less impressive than the East Coast. They have had more time to transition away from a timber economy.

Hopefully DuBois will read and believe this article.  For years, trees have been planted in the city, but planted incorrectly.  To achieve the goals of a cooler atmosphere in summer through shade and evaporation, Feeding the soil around the tree roots, planting a proper selection of tree for the location, and selecting appropriate locations in which to plant trees and shrubs, you need a Tree Commission of people educated in how to achieve a good city tree forest.  Just stuffing a pretty balled and burlapped/wire basketed or root bound tree into a barely sufficient hole with unhealthy soil and insufficient water available, will result in exactly what we have right now.  Dead, dying or missing trees.  Money thrown at the problem won't solve it.

TA-DAHHHHHHH

But there is a BUT BUT BUTT   to what you see that produces dead trees.  The votes have been bought before the tree dies.

If you notice they keep talking about the "poor" once again. I guess the non-poor has enough trees but the poor does not. Once again the majority pays for the minority.

Speaking about Liberal insurrections, this is how the head Liberal handles that sort of thing.

The White House press corps was kicked out of the Oval Office by President Biden on Monday as he joked about spending another four years answering their questions.

Biden sat down with two members of the group called the "Tennessee Three," state Representatives Justin Jones and Justin Pearson, D-Tenn., to discuss their recent experience of being expelled from office after taking part in and leading a disruptive protest in the state capitol.

After condemning Republican state leaders for voting to expel Jones and Pearson, Biden told the press to leave as they began their conversation.

disruptive protest

What is the difference between a disruptive protest and a insurrection?

Nothing-------------------but a liberal
