BoBo got a new toy for Christmas..

While reading a 1905 "Morning Courier" from DuBois I ran across the very first track meet to every happen at DHS.  It was at the Driving Park in May.  we won.   The hammer was thrown. No Javelin or discus.   The "running broad jump" event went 19 feet.  The "running high jump" went 4' 11.5 "  The pole vault went 8'  1"  The Athletic Association" at the school put it on.  The coach was "Bob" Reed.  Our biggest winner was a "J. Harrington" who took 4 firsts.  Schools attending were DuBois, Reynoldsville, ridgeway, and Clearfield.  DuBois scored 58 out of a possible 101 points.  "Patchell" of DuBois won the mile in 5:38.  Harrington threw the shot 35'
By 1906 all the locker rooms were at the driving Park, and the teams would celebrate with a dance at the pavilion there, after the meet.

OK now they have taken over my recliner, things will never be the same!!

Well we had to go and buy sweaters for them so they didn't shiver when they went outside to do their thing.. I think this has gotten out of hand..

These pups are so smart, even at 8 weeks they can shake hands and sit..

Well we came home with 2 pups and they are already warming our hearts, we couldn't split the brothers up cause they were so cute!!

eww ...I need to unsee that

Just like Santa Claus and The Easter Bunny, He exist,,, and lives,,,,,,in the hearts and minds of children.

HOLY Pepper!! 

We're all ears about this insanely tasty heirloom corn being revived7 hrs ago Warning: This story may make you hungry. A chef at a fancy upstate New York restaurant is helping to revive an heirloom corn variety nearly lost to history. Dan Barber of the Hudson River Valley's Blue Hill at Stone Barns began growing and cooking New England Eight Row Flint corn with the help of a local farmer after receiving two ears and a note via FedEx from a grain enthusiast about eight years ago.
Turns out the corn, a Native American favorite hundreds of years ago, had fallen out of favor with growers because it's a low-yield crop and therefore less profitable than other varieties

I wish I had the time & patience to do something like that 

My garden is doing very well this year as far as plants growing and not dying off. I haven't lost a single plant this year which is very unusual. My tomato plants are growing great the only problem is they hardly have any tomato's on them. I have some plants that are taller than me growing and they seem to be cherry tomato's. Problem is I did not buy any cherry tomato's. I believe the place I bought them from mislabeled them.

Now my pepper plants are doing excellent. I have lots of peppers already but no darn tomato's to make sauce. Looks like we might have to buy tomato's again this year. I posted a few pics of them. I seem to like the camera I bought my wife and am constantly using it. I may have to buy me one so she can use hers.

I posted some pics on the storm a few minutes ago and found these pics on the disk. I had taken them a week before in the garden. seems butterflies like mushroom compost. I had around 15 in the garden all together when I walked up they scattered and then settled down into groups of 2 to 4. wish I could have gotten a pic of them all together.

Its not credible until they interview me..
