Vicenta Polanco, 30, and Luis Ariel Escalante, 24, were arrested Tuesday on human trafficking and prostitution charges, Miami-Dade jail records showed. The charges stem from the accounts of two women who said they had been forced to prostitute themselves at the direction of Polanco and Escalante, police said. Both women were asked to hand over their Cuban passports and other legal documents, and were told they'd be assisted with legal representation for the immigration process, the reports said. » https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KGjmvaoc--s (VIDEO) » https://www.nbcbayarea.com/news/national-international/pair-smuggled-cuban-women-into-u-s-forced-them-into-prostitution-in-miami-dade-police/3526690/ (VIDEO) » https://www.nbcmiami.com/news/local/pair-smuggled-cuban-women-into-u-s-forced-them-into-prostitution-in-miami-dade-police/3299895/ » https://www.local10.com/news/local/2024/05/01/miami-pair-lured-women-from-cuba-with-promise-of-stripping-trafficked-them-instead-cops-say/ ▫️2 charged with abducting daughter of California billionaire Stewart Butterfield SAN FRANCISCO – Prosecutors charged two people with abducting a California billionaire’s child and hiding the teenager in San Francisco for six days. Now, the Thurston County Sheriff's Office is asking anyone who may have survived a similar situation to come forward.
