I hate to tell you this, but you're probably not going to get as many apples this year, dogg.
No advice on the dogwood. I severely wounded my fancy tree last fall. Backed a truck into it. It has less leaves than your apple tree.

The Apple tree survived the trimming. I'll be jiggered.
Second pic is of my Dogwood. The freeze on Memorial Day weekend got it hard. Hack and saw or leave the poor thing alone this summer?

I had to bump this thread because when I still think of her loss, it makes me pause and feels more relevant to me than the multi-week threads discussing John Duggar and the Sunday Biker Gang Shooting. Its just my honest opinion, thats all.
