My food thinking is very basic.

Butter, garlic and onions will make everything taste good.

A noodle in any shape and with any sauce is wonderful.

It is hard to screw up a meatloaf. Even burnt a 1/2 inch deep or cooked until it is dry as shoe leather you can still dress it up enough to be edible.

You reall need to put those thoughts into context though. I've eaten things that others would turn up their noses at and enjoyed them all. Things like rattlesnake, possum, beaver, escargo (?sp)and muskrat come to mind.

I think it was said "tongue in cheek" and the Amish do hold their food dear so maybe a meatloaf did make a difference.

This affects Walnut which is a major wood crop in Pennsylvania.  The Ash was the last major loss.  Hemlock will be going too as the Hemlock Wooley Adelgid spreads.  Most of these are invasive diseases and insects.

If you call the Extension office in Brookville, 849-7361, they will have a Penn State Master Gardener diagnose your trees for free.  You can get info in person, by e-mail or by phone, your choice.  It's a free service from Penn State.

She has been more of a mother to me than my bio mother ever was or is capable of. We don't always see eye to eye but when it comes down to it, she's my Mom and she is in emotional pain. The 1st one was a sudden aggressive progression, she rescued him ( as all of pack are rescues) and he was a certified therapy dog ( he had an amazing inspirational life that many could relate or found comfort being with him). Dutch, well he clung to mom n I, smart dog but has recently suffered from what the vets think multiple strokes. He is so sad and she is going to help him pass peacefully meeting the vet in a field (hunting dog so will be surreal) to hold him as he falls asleep. She does have one that just turned 15 yrs old recently, the sister of one I lost 2 years ago at easter. Only animal people truly understand
this pain we feel, but we know he has no quality of life so how fair is that? Btw she treats her pack better than many treat their children.

All ducks need is shelter from the wind.  They don't roost.  If you are going to enclose them for safety from predators then it will need a tight door to be closed at dark and opened at daybreak.   Don't put food or water in it but do add some straw.  Ducks should be able to get out during all daylight hours.

How many ducks are you planning for?  Laying ducks?
