  1. Immigrants who are questionable are sent to the Detention Center in Phillipsburg till they can be verified for release or deportation. You see pure white buses with no markings transporting them.

I disagree.  A good way to increase land for hunting and recreation is to buy in groups. Everyone has a right to do so. You have much more buying power than one person alone.  Nothing has to be shady about it. I understand and respect their reasons.  They may hunt there but they also take their families there to camp.  There is no reason for constant, intrusive surveillance, especially in the off season.

We bought land for private use by our family for hunting and recreation.  We camp there 10 months a year and hunt 2 months. It is scary to think that they can come in and start videotaping us and our children without us knowing.   We follow all hunting laws, I have no concern about that.  I do however value my privacy on my own private property.

Example: you buy a hot tub and put it in your back yard in the country.  You have no neighbors.  You like to enjoy the hot tub naked.  The game commission decides to start doing video surveillance without you knowing and the area includes your hot tub.  Is this right?   Should this be allowed?

On the other hand, the land could be being used for something illegal.  There has to be an agreeable way for both sides to deal with this.

Make sure both are treated fairly on both sides. Yes a coach in a game does that. But does that coach give the other side the resources needed from his team? No. And does a coach from a team not in the game send players to play in another teams game? No. This is between Russia and Ukraine. Why doesn’t other NATO countries step up and send resources like we are? Because they know better. They know they have to take care of their people first. Everyone expects the US to solved the worlds problems. I’ve had enough it personally. And here sits zellensky asking for another 60 billion. When is enough enough? Where are we getting all this money from? All it’s doing is making our way of life worse and worse. Making our inflation rate go higher and higher. Making our debt getting worse and worse.. and all it does is make life impossible for the working man. Send me money Petee. Life isn’t fair and equal for me. I can’t afford life so send me your resources so I can survive. You seem to be all for that so a check or cash is just fine.

I agree with you on the money but not on the application.

  4. It's important to realize the extent of the Hamas invasion into Gaza City.  They are not the responsible citizenry, they are an invading force there as well as in Israel and in other countries.  In Israel, true citizens of Gaza work and visit in peace but they do not contribute to the violence.

Christmas outfit for today! “Let’s get Crackin!”

    IMG_0088.jpeg

Saw her patiently trolling around Walmart with her Mommy and Daddy shopping.  She was so calm till her Mommy picked her up and started loving on her.  She went wild loving back.  Merry Christmas.  Hubby and I got a gift that night! Thank you for sharing her with all of us.

  6. That's one of the problems hospitals and health providers are facing.  They have to pay back money that they received while calling it COVID.  Now the paperwork trail is supposed to be corrected for medical reasons in addition to the financial reimbursement. I couldn't even get a flu shot that year because to get it you also had to already have the Covid shot.  I ended up with both Covid and a horrible case of the flu, both of which caused me to have to cancel a dental appointment at the last minute.  I'm still mad about that because dentist appointments are so hard to get.

I’m not even taking your response seriously when you put Alaska in a list of countries.  America may have BEEN a world leader. But we aren’t anymore. Not even close. A real leader would make sure their own people are taken care of first.

a coach of a sports team is a leader correct? Would that coach be called a real leader if they helped the opponent instead of their own team?

would the CEO of a corporation be a real leader if they sent all their money to another CEO instead of taking care of their own company?

come on petee… wake up.. sending all our resources to other countries is harming OUR people more than it’s helping these other countries..

Sorry about Alaska, I was obviously not paying attention, but the rest of the post is my point.  A great coach makes sure that all players on both sides of a game are treated fairly and are safe.  ALL money from the US goes to others, that's never true.  Only a portion of what we have goes to others.  Get real!

I was going to suggest that as well or try some Amish stores and ask around. They may know where you can get one

I do know a local Amish family and will ask them when I see them next!  Thank you.

Funny story.....my brother called me and said he really wanted a fresh turkey.  He had just had open heart surgery a few months before so I really wanted to find one for him.  Knowing that the local markets didn't stock them, and knowing my brother was an experienced hunter, I asked my Amish friends, found a local grower and bought a turkey from them.  When I called my brother to tell him I had one in my truck, he realized it was alive and he had given up killing things. Great.  So I asked the grower if he knew anyone who could kill and dress it?  Yes.  So in a couple of hours, I had a fresh turkey!  Made my brother go pick it up, and he called back when he went to cook it, it was skinned!  You can't deep fry a skinned turkey!  Oh well, I tried.

Why is it our job to level the playing field? Why is it our job to send everyone else money but yet not spend money on our own problems? Saving the rest of the world while our own country falls apart. Yes let’s keep sending billions to Ukraine. Billions to Israel.. but forget about our own problems. Let’s just act like we don’t have 1000s of illegals and criminals causing more and more problems here. It’s hitting our own backyards and no one seems to have any issues with that. Everyone’s more worried about other countries. It’s not our job to police the rest of the world. All this comes down to is our “elected officials” lining their own pockets with deals made with these other countries. They could give two craps about their own people.

Tell me why it is not our job?  Shall we let the Philippines, Russia, South Africa, Iran, China, Vietnam, Canada, Alaska, England, Poland, Korea, whoever, to do it?  Do you have no sense of being a leader in you?  Why would you expect everything to be OK and someone else can do it?

America is a world leader!!!!!  It has had great leadership in the past, and you can't blame them for the stupid decisions made by those who are trying to take over our country from the inside out.  If you can't or won't help lead, then get out of the way and stop yelling orders!  Be an example of responsibility and success for all, not a whiner asking why me?

  10. Our government is always trying to level the playing field so that everyone can defend themselves from aggressors.  Of course it doesn't always work, but look at what they did in Europe several times.  Then there are nuts like Hitler who didn't learn his lesson the first time!

Our country wants to let other countries work out their own problems without getting our own soldiers killed, so money and a constant juggling game of politics and pressure seems to work.  When they use greed instead of their heads, then we end up with something like Vietnam.  Hopefully we have all learned that lesson well.

is it something like this. Could be called a gate latch I guess

That's not exactly what I was looking for, but it would work!  Our door handles are not round, but a lever which the dogs have learned to open on their own. I have to tie the door shut to keep them out of the bedrooms and bathroom during the day, but then you have to untie and retie it all the time.  We thought of a hook lock, but if anyone was back there and tried to get out while the hook lock on the other side was fastened, I'll bet there would be some human yelling involved!

I love the idea of something antique and novel that would work, and this might do the trick.
