I have heard sprinkling Borax (like the stuff for laundry) on the carpets at bedtime, then vacuuming it up in the morning helps. For the cat, I have had better luck with the flea prevention stuff from the vet. (The kind you put behind their neck) we never had success with the off brands.

Borax is good stuff. I put on the ground where my dog goes out and have never had a problem with fleas or tics. Its good for killing ants too.

A bit of a pain to patty but they didn't turn out to bad. I'll take the time to chop the peppers a little smaller next time.

One morning, after a get together here, the fire was still hot so I tried a ham and egg mountain pie. It turned out pretty good.

My mom used to make meatloaf burgers. I'm going to try them on the grill today.

I'm in the mood for mile high meatloaf. Maybe a road trip to Jennet PA is in order. There is/was a dinner there that made the best.

Groundhog is best canned. 

I thought maybe stuffed with rabbit, wrapped in elk and then slow roasted.

Elk, Deer, Groundhogs,, Rabbits. Im about ready to give up the Garden, unless I spray chemicals and sit on the porch day and night with the Thirty ought six.

Well. You do have to have meat to go along with those fresh vegetables.

Can anyone one here offer a good recipe for groundhog?

Are wooden pallets still required to be heat treated before being shipped overseas?

If you look hard enough you can see one of at least 3 Humming Birds that hang out at my Trumpet Bush. Cheap point and shoot camera and fast little birds.

I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express a few weeks ago.

There are a couple rows of attractive light blue flowers in landscape islands along the B-Line (near the DuBois Plaza).  Does anyone know the variety, ie: some form of sage?

I think they are Russian Sage but I'm not sure.

Anyone know how long the tunnel is???? Looked at a map and could see where the tunnel went in and came out!!!

Its about a 1/2 mile long. There is a slight bend near the center. For a brief moment you cant see either end.
