Sorry you went through all that, but good to hear about the great response time.  I was in town years back, when my teenage child was at home.  My kiddo mistakenly called 911 by hitting the emergency button then called me horrified to tell me that as I was on my way home.  When I got there, there was a police car in my driveway.  I told them what happened, but they insisted they needed to see my child to make sure all was well.  So I had them come in the house.  It was a quick response time then as well.  Good to know they would be there if I really needed them.

It was not bad at all. I was glad they actually checked. In our area the police are always willing to help. I have always had great encounters with the police. Now big cities the police may not have even thought about following up.

Glad everything worked out for you also Polo

This is one reason I like living in a rural area. Great police response and they treat everyone as far as I have seen with respect especially the State Police. In fact my barber is a retired from the state police. Heck of a nice guy. I really enjoy talking to him every month when I go get my haircut

As long as they treat me with respect I will reciprocate it.

Now I know there are a few every now and then who get hired by different towns in our area who are not police officer material but they get weeded out eventually.

  2. We just had a visit by two State Police officers. They came to do a welfare check. Apparently they could not tell us exactly what had happened at first. Then they told us where the incident happened and then my wife knew what was going on.

My Granddaughter had ran into my sons stomach with her head and he doubled over and called her a brat. He may have used the f-word also and then after he stood up he went outside and helped an older lady put her groceries in her car while my wife finished and then checked out. My son can be quite loud as can I

They went to our car and in the parking lot and drove home. It wasn't more than 10 minutes later that two State Police cars rolled into the driveway and then knocked on the door. My wife had not even had a chance to put the groceries away and I had just gotten one bite out of my supper.

That is a heck of a response time considering this happened in the old Mikes Comet store and we live in Brockway. Kudos to them for following up so quickly.

At first they said their there was an incident with my sons white car but that had never left the driveway. Then the other officer said no it was this car with that plate, so they knew the plate and asked who was driving which my wife said she was.

Eventually they said their was yelling and screaming in the parking lot and someone was left in the parking lot etc. The problem was that nothing happened in the parking lot and the only thing that happened was an 8 year old girl who thought she was a wrestler or football player and used her head as a battering ram in the store knocking the wind out of her father lol.

The state police were getting info third hand and they really did not know anything actually. They were extremely nice and my Granddaughter came out on said why are they here, innocently. I was actually laughing.

Also to give some context on my attire having just woke up from the couch when the dogs started barking when my wife got home.

I came to the door with only my shorts on when I went to see who my wife was talking to and I had a chicken leg from Popeyes in one hand and a plate in the other with a chicken breast on it.

So there I am eating my chicken and starting to freeze as I asked in between bites what is the problem with my car. My hair standing straight up and my big gut exposed and pale white skinny ass legs. LOL.

I must have looked like one those typical rednecks you see on that COPS show. The only thing that would have been funnier is if I would have farted and then scratched my balls and then yep Hillbilly Redneck.

At first one car then it was the other and my wife thinking she they thought she was in an accident and then left hitting someone with her car backing up or something. We had everyone come to the door to make sure everyone was ok  so welfare check completed.

I did thank them for following up and checking because they were just doing their jobs. We were actually laughing about the situation. Like I said the officers were extremely friendly and lo and behold my dogs were were not acting all crazy and barking to loud. They probably thought oh crap the cops cheese it with the barking. Our mountain dog did manage to slip her head slightly out the door to get a peak.

Now for those that wonder where I got  Popeyes chicken well my wife, son and Granddaughter went to Kraynack's in Sharon PA to see the Easter display so I got the leftovers haha

Now it was funnier in person than how I described it but you know the saying you had to be there.

To the Karen who called brrrrrrrrp.     That's my best raspberry. I would hate to be their neighbors.

  3. The sickest thing in this video is the from 5:38 to about 6:03 where the Democrats try and say that it is more harmful for the baby to give it health care.

How sick and twisted can they be. How is it more harmful for  baby that is born alive to receive the healthcare it needs. I believe there is nothing more harmful than death.

Democrats are evil human beings and are going to Hell and personally they all need to experience an abortion firsthand. How can anyone defend these perverted individuals.

Twitter slams AOC after she says gas stoves are linked to brain damage: 'Dems are literally insane'

'I’ll NEVER give up my gas stove' Texas Rep. Ronny Jackson tweeted

So now we know how she got so brain dead. Maybe she shouldn't have lit the stove.

Freedom Speaks Up CEO Seth Weathers tweeted that Ocasio-Cortez might do well to check her own cognitive ability after using gas stoves. "Is that what happened to you?

How about a tax credit for those who install a properly installed ventilation fan? Most of the ones today just suck the air through a filter and out into the room.  It's worthless.

For many people, when the electric goes off, the kitchen stove oven is their only source of heat.  Also, cooking on electric is terrible!

I have been cooking on an electric stove for 20 years and it is not that at all terrible. I like it actually because I can turn it off before the meal is done and it still cooks because the top is still warm unlike a gas stove.

I have a very hard to find bathroom faucet that is imported.  Surprisingly it cost less than anything else I found when we were remodeling our bathroom.  It was broken by a rough teen who was washing her hair under it and it needs repaired.  I think a machinist with a home shop would be who could fix it. A supply tube needs replaced and a hole drilled in it.

    Anyone know anyone?

Do you have a brand name at least or some pics on what needs repaired.

As a person who has been brain damaged from birth-bicameral dystaxia for those in the know-I find the attitude by many here toward those of us who have suffered speech problems to be extremely ignorant. This thread reminds me of what I had to endure at DuBois Middle School way back in the late 60's. Times have not changed so much. Damage to some parts of the brain such as the cerebellum, which is where the brain controls muscles including the tongue, does not necessarily affect the cerebral cortex. When I am stressed out or tired I am sure I sound a lot like Fetterman in this clip. The problems he has speaking has nothing to do with his ability to think or work in the Senate. When people first hear me speak, they usually assume I am a foreigner, gay or mentally challenged, none of which is true, though these accusations have made me very sensitive to what each of these groups face in this country, particularly in these parts. How was Moses described in the Bible? Halt of speech? If Moses did exist and had a halting manner of speaking similar to what Fetterman and I have, then I think John Fetterman and I are in excellent company.

Two of the nastiest things said to me in middle school were :

"Spit that s**t out of your mouth so I can understand you"

    and

"Take that donkey d**k out of your mouth so I can understand you."

If anyone said these type of things to Fetterman on a call-in show on C-Span, the national blowback would be tremendous. Even from conservative media.

He did not have a speech impediment since birth he had a stroke a very big difference and I believe it also involves his ability to think.  BTW I also have dyslexia/ and a slight stutter who was also told on occasion to spit it out and am also a registered Democrat but not a person who votes straight Democrat. I vote for who is best in my opinion but the last couple years it has never been for a  Democrat in any race.

I also find it odd that people talk about the problems Fetterman and Biden have without mentioning the Texan who ran for Senate in Georgia during the last election, despite his showing signs of CTE, a common problem for men in his former profession.
Now, what's the "H" word that people like to throw around here? Second letter is a "y"....

sorry I don't live in Georgia so I have no idea who you are speaking of nor do I want to google it

The big question here is why would the Republicans run a quack TV doctor who lives in New Jersey to run for Senate in Pennsylvania? To me Oz never seemed particularly conservative, The Pennsylvania Republicans just wanted to go for a celebrity candidates. So couldn't they find a suitable home-grown celebrity candidate without New Joisey's Oz's baggage. Not complaining, but it does seem odd.

I agree Oz was not a good choice but Fetterman definitely was not. He shouldn't even be crossing guard

  10. You have to see the humor in the people who voted for him. I mean while it is sad he is like this the sadder thing is the mentality of the people who voted for him. They are the ones who actually need help.
