The Apple tree survived the trimming. I'll be jiggered.
Second pic is of my Dogwood. The freeze on Memorial Day weekend got it hard. Hack and saw or leave the poor thing alone this summer?

It will depend upon the type of winter that we have - but I would say a prayer for it.

Wow I am speechless. I never met her except to chat on here and through messages and knew she had some health issues but she never complained and said all was well. She will be missed here and in RL. Prayers for her children and other family members. I enjoyed her comments and she will be missed. It is strange how someone you never met can have a deep impact on your life.

What would life be with out friends like thee

Jennifer was an amazing young woman. She meant the world to me. She was my friend. I will miss her.

Our German Shepherds (rest in peace) loved the Winter and the colder the better. They would go outside and lay in the snow on the coldest days of the year and would stay out there all day if we let them. The male laid outside one day we were having a pretty good snow storm and we couldn't find him. Well the goof ball finally decided to get up when we were calling him and he was covered with snow and looked at us like what the heck I was right here the whole time.
Man I miss those two!!
Me and the wife have been talking quite a bit and it sounds like it's time to have a new family member or two.

holy crap !!

we had a zipper spider AKA banana spider in the hedges at the office where I work. Pretty cool what they do. Their web is like the zipper on you pants and when they sit on they look like the lock on the zipper. but I hate spiders yuck

Yes, I think we all have had at least one pet we weren't sure if it was time.  One I should have done sooner, now that I think of it.  So, once the decision is made, remember everything has its time. "To everything there is a season."............  .  It just that in a sense, it bothers us because, WE made the determination, not nature.  In a perfect world, we all hope that everything just sleeps away, and no one has to make that decision for them. I have an old cat, and just put my 15 1/2 year old dog down in Dec.  My companion.

Yes.  When I had to take my 11 yr old boxer to the vet for the last time, almost a year ago.  He was starting to fail, not eating or drinking, weight loss.  I could not let him suffer even though it was hard on his people we done what was best for him.  I miss him a lot but could not let him hurt.

One of you with a good garden, just tell me where you live and when you won't be home. haha

My favorite thing is get it started  and it is just doing good and I get the weed whacker too close.!!!
