The judge presiding over the Hunter Biden criminal case threatened Biden's legal team with sanctions over allegations about lying to the clerk's office.

Hunter Biden's counsel is accused of avoiding proper court procedure to allegedly get information about IRS whistleblowers removed from the docket. Delaware Judge Maryellen Noreika gave Biden's legal team until 9 p.m. on Tuesday to explain their side.

Specifically, a lawyer from Hunter's legal team is accused of misrepresenting who she was when asking to remove amicus materials from the docket. She allegedly called to ask the clerk to seal the information instead of making a formal request to the court.

"The Court has discussed the matter with the relevant individuals in the Clerk's Office and has been informed that the caller, Ms. Jessica Bengels, represented that she worked with Mr. Kittila and requested the amicus materials be taken down because they contained sensitive grand jury, taxpayer and social security information," the order read. 

"It appears that the caller misrepresented her identity and who she worked for in an attempt to improperly convince the clerk's office to remove the amicus materials from the docket," the judge added. 

"The Court will temporarily place the document under seal until close of business on July 26, 2023 to afford Defendant the opportunity to try to make the requisite showing," the order read. "Should Defendant fail to make that showing, the document will be unsealed in its entirety."

In a letter obtained by Fox News, Biden's legal team told the judge that the lawyer who called the clerk had accurately represented her affiliation with her law firm.

The White House narrative that Hunter Biden’s art buyers will remain anonymous to prevent the appearance of any undue influence is falling apart after it was reported a President Biden appointee is one of Hunter Biden's friends and buyers.

Hunter Biden’s artwork has brought in at least $1.3 million, and one of the buyers is Elizabeth Hirsh Naftali, who was appointed by President Biden to the Commission for the Preservation of America’s Heritage Abroad in July 2022, Business Insider reported Monday.

Hirsh Naftali previously donated over $200,000 to President Biden’s 2020 campaign and has visited the White House nearly a dozen times since he’s been in office. Her appointment came eight months after Hunter Biden’s first art opening, though it’s not clear whether her purchase came before or after the appointment.

Nevertheless, the White House has maintained the total denial ... until this week before the testimony of Devon Archer. 

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was asked by Fox News journalist Gillian Turner: 

"Chairman James Comer today says that the Oversight Committee has evidence that the president in the past communicated directly with foreign business associates of his son Hunter Biden many times. Curious if the White House and the president still stand behind his comment that he's never been involved and has never even spoken to his son about his business?" 

The response from Jean-Pierre was surprising: 

"So, I've been I've been asked this question a million times. The answer is not going to change. The answer remains the same. The president was never in business with his son. I just don't have anything else to add." 

It takes an utter contempt for the intelligence of the public to insist that "the answer remains the same" and then give an entirely new answer. However, that is only if most of the public is informed of the contradiction. None of the media in the White House press corps followed up on Turner's questions when Jean-Pierre immediately moved on. 

If that is now the new spin of the president, it is about four years too late. The president assured the public repeatedly and consistently that he never discussed or knew of these dealings even as evidence mounted in contradiction.  

He made this false denial part of his presidency in having his staff echo the same denials to the press and the public. As allegations of bribery and influence peddling swirl around the White House, this pattern of dishonesty and denial can become a basis for impeachment inquiries, as it was with then-President Richard Nixon.

The ex-husband of first lady Jill Biden said Wednesday that Donald Trump is being targeted by President Joe Biden.

Bill Stevenson, who was married to the first lady from 1970 until 1975, made the accusations on Greg Kelly's Newsmax TV program, where he also alleged that Biden's family did "the exact same thing" to him at one time.

The Newsmax interview was not the first instance of Stevenson leveling accusations against the Bidens. After the Democratic Party selected Joe Biden as its presidential nominee in 2020, Stevenson told the Daily Mail that his ex-wife's relationship with her future husband began in the 1970s as an affair. (Joe and Jill Biden have said they met on a blind date after Jill had already separated from Stevenson and after the president's first wife died in a car accident.)

"I can't let them do this to a president that I love and respect," Stevenson told Kelly on Wednesday while referring to Trump and the investigations against him. "I can't let them do this to our country."

During the Newsmax conversation, Stevenson said Biden's law firm "bashed" him "in front of the IRS" and Department of Justice in the 1970s. He also accused the future president's brother, Frank Biden, of trying to intervene in his divorce negotiations.

"Frankie Biden of the Biden crime family comes up to me and he goes, 'Give her the house or you're going to have serious problems,'" Stevenson said. "I looked at Frankie, and I said, 'Are you threatening me?' And, needless to say, about two months later my brother and I were indicted for that tax charge for $8,200."

Kelly said that Joe Biden—who was a U.S. senator from Delaware at the time of Stevenson's accusations—was "very powerful" in Delaware and asked Stevenson if Biden "essentially ordered" the tax charge.

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced that it is updating its policy manual "to increase awareness and expand access to voter registration during naturalization ceremonies" at which eligible foreign nationals become U.S. citizens and are then able to vote in elections, including federal elections. 

The new guidance "affirms that USCIS provides access to voter registration services at each administrative naturalization ceremony, including information regarding points-of-contact for voting and voter registration."

On Tuesday, Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy announced he was calling for the launch of an impeachment inquiry without a vote of the full House, in the face of a membership that can’t provide sufficient support to prevail in such a vote.

FIRST ON FOX: House Democrats acknowledged Wednesday that Hunter Biden’s then-business partner, Eric Schwerin, handled President Biden’s finances for the duration of his vice presidency.

A spokesperson for the Democrat minority of the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability told Fox News Digital that Schwerin, the former president of Hunter’s Rosemont Seneca Advisors and a frequent visitor to the Obama-Biden White House, served as then-Vice President Biden’s "bookkeeper" from 2009 to 2017.

"Notably, Mr. Schwerin, who served as then-Vice President Biden’s bookkeeper from 2009 to 2017, explained that he was not aware of any transactions into or out of the then-Vice President’s bank account related to business conducted by any Biden family member," the spokesperson said in a statement.

Schwerin, who visited the Obama White House and then-Vice President Biden’s residence at least 36 times between 2009 and 2016, was also a founding partner and managing director of Hunter's now-dissolved firm Rosemont Seneca Partners. He was working with Hunter's firms when he was appointed in early 2015 by then-President Obama to the Commission for the Preservation of America’s Heritage Abroad, an independent U.S. government agency.

Hunter’s ex-wife, Kathleen Buhle, who was married to the president’s son from 1993 to 2017, revealed in a memoir in June 2022 that Schwerin "managed almost every aspect of our financial life."

The White House did not respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

In response to Fox News anchor Sean Hannity's latest report on Joe Biden, the internet has issued a "warning" as one person wrote, "Warning ⛔️ this post is from a Fox employee. Fox paid 787 million dollars for lying. Any credibility from Fox or their employees does not exist."

"Why is this liar and deceitful person relevant? He has been lying and misinforming for more than 20 years and people still believe him," wrote one user.

Another user said, "Hannity fires out repeated lies! Crushes them with untruths! What an alpha!"
