OK. The listing in the paper was not correctly placed. They added another small line on the ballot so you can have 2 write ins. Just looked at a sample ballot on the internet with an election officer. Good to go now with 2 write ins. LET'S ALL GET OUT TOMORROW AND VOTE and yes , all of us working the election will have plenty of pens available for THE WRITE INS.

Was brought to my attention today that the sample ballot that is shown in our local paper only has 1 spot for a write in on both tickets. Both the Republican and Democratic incumbents are listed with just one space open after their names. It says to vote for no more than 2. Seems like they're forcing you to vote for an incumbent with only 1 write in. I do work at my local precient hall and i'm calling Clearfield in the morning to see if this can be explained. I.m sure they'll be lots of questions regarding this on Tuesday.

This may be due to really poor management as well.

Along similar lines...didn't two women who worked for the Dubois Area Transit get nabbed for stealing funds from the transit authority back around circa 2008?
I believe so. You know how the old story goes. It's pretty easy to steal (or pilfer or cook the books or shift funds or whatever other excuse you want to try to use) until you get caught.

So I would assume that Jen Jackson, Elliott Gelfand, and Pat Reasinger plan to pass on the free insurance if they win since they want to clean DuBois up?
I would assume that since they are all gainfully employed elsewhere they already have insurance.

OK. Just got a message that Randy Schmidt (ex mayor) is drawing a pension from the city and is also still getting health insurance that the city is paying for. Not real sure of this but i'm just asking if anyone else heard this.

hopefully they revamp their service department. Worst I have ever seen. I used to work at several car dealerships and know what I am talking about plus from past experience with them.
Just had a couple cars in Spitzer Chevy for alignments and they were excellent. Got a quick appointment and they had them done quickly also as well as check the whole car out for any problems. Kudos to them.
I know nothing about Delaney. Always had thought they were only a GM dealer.

Delaney is who is buying Stoltz

Read today's front page of the Altoona Mirror. And that doesnt include the running total of Herm's criminal legal fees. There's your $270,000.
Just wondering why the city would be responsible for a private doctors clinic.

I don't know Ms Gabriel, or any of the other city council members, but what if she (Ms Gabriel) made that motion knowing it would not be seconded. Just wondering if, with all the turmoil and uproar calling for council to be completely replaced, she wants to appear to be the only one there on the side of the taxpayers so she stands a chance of retaining her seat. Just wondering???
I've considered that as well. The other members (excluding Bernardo who was at some sort of game and could't or chose not to hear what was going on , as she was on speaker phone) just sat there with their heads bowed. It appears that Dietz has no idea what is going on. If you want to serve on any kind of board or committee you at least should have some sort of input. Whether you're running for re election or not. Otherwise you're just a puppet.

Plus what is the deal with a $100,000 coming from the United Way last week via Toni and being placed in a DuBois city account?
Waiting for how she's going to reply to that

Question? From the embankment there should have been a LOT of interlocking wall blocks, plus the bricks that people donated with their names on them. Where did they go? They were not trash.
Didn't realize about the donated names. HOWEVER I have been wondering exactly how those walls were placed to make sure (short of a natural disaster} (not considering a heavy rain either} that the complete system doesn't end up at the bottom of 255

Tony either lying or is incompetent. Sounds like Gabriel Is only council member who should stay.
Can't really think she is incompetent. Just in way over her head now and can't keep covering everything up. She done it to herself.

Have you read the article published today in the Courier Express from the Solicitor? She's defending the payment of Herms legal fees explaining the poor man didn't have a dime to his name, and his bank accounts were frozen
Well. When anyone gets in trouble and is indigent they have public defenders available.

Ok, I’m not saying too much on this issue because that hotel that she owns is where i work and we are doing a fantastic business because of the staff we have! We are currently 5 in the country if I’m not mistaken in the hotel businesse! It has nothing to do with putting a casino in and the stuff that is currently going on is weddings and pool parties and all kinds of different events! So please, do not put this hotel down!
If you mean because of my statement i did not want to give that impression. The ability to do a good job comes from management and employees and not from ownership.

Arrest of Dubois City Manager John “Herm” Suplizio
in Message Place

A follow up to this post. Whomever on this site that called the election board trying to file a complaint against me for writing this should of just maybe concerned themselves with other issues like maybe how corrupt and unprofessional our council had been acting in the last month or so. Sorry it didn't work out in your favor. And as the results are showing we did not run out of ink. The write in candidates were working at every precinct but it appeared no incumbents were trying to save their positions.
