It isn't "easily curable". Trust me.

The spirochetes can and will cross the Blood-Brain Barrier. When that happens, not many antibiotics can reach them. Even if you take ones that do, they have a hard time killing them all.

If it's easily curable why did the CDC make a vaccine?

I've made both dandelion wine and violet cordial. In both the flavor seems to come mostly from the added ingredients. The dandelion wine was very hard to clear. Maybe goldenrod wine would be more flavorful as the flower is more aromatic. Goldenrod also makes a tea that is excellent although the variety that is said to make the best tea is difficult to come by. I've never found it locally and I've hunted down and identified a half dozen varieties including a white one that is called silverrod.
Remember a weed is just any plant that is growing where you don't want it growing. Embrace it and it is no longer a weed. My yard is full of butterflies and bees this year. I've embraced a few weeds although the coneflowers, butterfly bush and bee balm are still the most popular plants. If you can get a butterfly to sit still long enough to identify it checking to see what is attracting it is always interesting.

My cousin was out scouting deer very early Fall last year and found a Hen Of The Woods mushroom cluster about two foot in diameter. Boy was that good eating!!

I've read that they're plentiful in the New England states and Canada. But, I know that I read something somewhere a few years ago that they can be found in PA, it may have been on this forum. We've been pigging out on leeks, son brought us a five gallon bucket three weeks ago and another one on Mom's day, we love them!

OK, I've had this orchid for years. The only way to keep it alive is to grow it in a terrarium. In this case a big pretzel container. It is called Bulbophyllum saurocephalum. So finally it blooms. The pink slug like thing in the center in the flower stem. The flowers are too tiny to see.
    Should I be excited?

There are many bushes (or should I say plants, to keep politics out if it?), out here at the Lake.  They smell pretty when they are all in bloom.

Remember when girls wore snow pants to school?  We had to wear dresses and when it was cold we were allowed to wear snow pants under our skirts but had to take them off when we got to school.  Times have really changed!

Remember living thru the blizzard of 78 in southern Michigan. Wind gusts at times hit close to 100 mph. We missed two solid weeks of school.  Good times!

My fathers has a grape arbor that is six 6x6 posts with frame work built on top. Its dimensions are about 16'x16' - 7' high with a cement pad built underneath. Very easy to pick the grapes and also serves as an excellent shady place to sit under and eat outside in the Summer. He keeps them trimmed back as needed.

Just got a message that the middle school plant sale will be held May 8th and May 10th from 1-5:30.  It's nice that there are young people out there that are interested in gardening. Please, go help them out. They also have some nice plants. This is where I got the heirloom peppers that did so well last year. They are a long, sweet pepper that mature quickly. Ideal for our area and for those of you who garden in a cooler micro-climate as I do. I also got those really tall tomatoes there. They produced tons of tomatoes but I was all tomatoed out by the time they ripened. They are a nice late season tomato though for those of you who want them all season. There are also, annuals, beautiful baskets and a few perennials. That was last year. John didn't say what they have this year.
