A week ago we rolled into DuBois for a late dinner at the Post and saw that new "DUBOIS" sign at the waterfall.   The old lady said "Wow, that's nice!"   I said, "Can they make DuBois any more ghetto-like?"

I dont care what side the fence a person is on - but if they are doing illegal or dirty stuff, they should be charged and arrested to stand trial.

We just had a visit by two State Police officers. They came to do a welfare check. Apparently they could not tell us exactly what had happened at first. Then they told us where the incident happened and then my wife knew what was going on.
My Granddaughter had ran into my sons stomach with her head and he doubled over and called her a brat. He may have used the f-word also and then after he stood up he went outside and helped an older lady put her groceries in her car while my wife finished and then checked out. My son can be quite loud as can I
They went to our car and in the parking lot and drove home. It wasn't more than 10 minutes later that two State Police cars rolled into the driveway and then knocked on the door. My wife had not even had a chance to put the groceries away and I had just gotten one bite out of my supper.
That is a heck of a response time considering this happened in the old Mikes Comet store and we live in Brockway. Kudos to them for following up so quickly.
At first they said their there was an incident with my sons white car but that had never left the driveway. Then the other officer said no it was this car with that plate, so they knew the plate and asked who was driving which my wife said she was.
Eventually they said their was yelling and screaming in the parking lot and someone was left in the parking lot etc. The problem was that nothing happened in the parking lot and the only thing that happened was an 8 year old girl who thought she was a wrestler or football player and used her head as a battering ram in the store knocking the wind out of her father lol.
The state police were getting info third hand and they really did not know anything actually. They were extremely nice and my Granddaughter came out on said why are they here, innocently. I was actually laughing.
Also to give some context on my attire having just woke up from the couch when the dogs started barking when my wife got home.
I came to the door with only my shorts on when I went to see who my wife was talking to and I had a chicken leg from Popeyes in one hand and a plate in the other with a chicken breast on it.
So there I am eating my chicken and starting to freeze as I asked in between bites what is the problem with my car. My hair standing straight up and my big gut exposed and pale white skinny ass legs. LOL.
I must have looked like one those typical rednecks you see on that COPS show. The only thing that would have been funnier is if I would have farted and then scratched my balls and then yep Hillbilly Redneck.
At first one car then it was the other and my wife thinking she they thought she was in an accident and then left hitting someone with her car backing up or something. We had everyone come to the door to make sure everyone was ok  so welfare check completed.
I did thank them for following up and checking because they were just doing their jobs. We were actually laughing about the situation. Like I said the officers were extremely friendly and lo and behold my dogs were were not acting all crazy and barking to loud. They probably thought oh crap the cops cheese it with the barking. Our mountain dog did manage to slip her head slightly out the door to get a peak.
Now for those that wonder where I got  Popeyes chicken well my wife, son and Granddaughter went to Kraynack's in Sharon PA to see the Easter display so I got the leftovers haha
Now it was funnier in person than how I described it but you know the saying you had to be there.
To the Karen who called brrrrrrrrp.     That's my best raspberry. I would hate to be their neighbors.

Sorry you went through all that, but good to hear about the great response time.  I was in town years back, when my teenage child was at home.  My kiddo mistakenly called 911 by hitting the emergency button then called me horrified to tell me that as I was on my way home.  When I got there, there was a police car in my driveway.  I told them what happened, but they insisted they needed to see my child to make sure all was well.  So I had them come in the house.  It was a quick response time then as well.  Good to know they would be there if I really needed them.

This is just my 2 cents, but its hard to access the situation when it is in a state of ongoing construction.  My thought would be to wait until the whole thing is done and everything is tied together, then form your opinion.  This work was not started lightly, and I'm sure it was a long process in the works before ground was ever broken.  I'm sure a lot of thought and planning went into this.  I'm sure the folks planning it feel that the end result will be spectacular.   We should all just wait until its done, then we can all decide for ourselves.

She spent 13 days in CHP & just got home on Monday. She was a very very sick little girl. Faith Marie had a few things going on all at the same time. She ended up getting a GJ tube. Her stomach is shot, it’s very irritated, and can only be used for medication. She is on a continuous feed now. She had to have a tube put in her intestines right outside the stomach, that’s where her formula goes 24/7. That kidney stone she has is causing her trouble, she had a major UTI even though she was on an antibiotic for it. It needs to come out, but she needs to be healthy for them to do surgery. While there, she ended up picking up a virus (cold) in the emergency department or observation room. She did not need this.
This girl has proved over & over that there is Power In Prayer!! 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻

Whether you like him or not, just pray that he stays healthy and can get the job done! There’s so much hate in this world it’s not funny and you only live once! Like Pelosi’s husband, I’m not a fan of hers, but what that idiot did to her husband was disgusting and unacceptable!

Pa’s first avian influenza cases in 2023 detected in central Pa. poultry flocks
Updated: Feb. 03, 2023, 9:32 a.m.| Published: Feb. 03, 2023, 8:17 a.m.   Sue Gleiter | sgleiter@pennlive.com Cases of the highly contagious strain of avian influenza continue to affect poultry flocks in central Pennsylvania.
The United States Department of Agriculture confirmed the disease was recently detected in two flocks in Lancaster County. About 32,800 birds were affected at a commercial duck facility and another 3,200 birds impacted at a second farm, according to USDA data.It marks the first cases in Pennsylvania in the new year.
While the USDA doesn’t release the flock’s locations, Lancaster Farming reported the commercial duck facility is in Clay Township and the second flock from a facility in East Earl Township that raises ducks for live markets.
Nationally, avian influenza has affected more than 58.2 million birds. Avian influenza is a disease caused by an infection with avian influenza Type A viruses. It is naturally spread by wild aquatic birds and can infect domestic poultry.
The state’s first positive case in poultry was detected in the spring of 2022 at a farm in East Donegal Township, which is home to nearly 1,700 of Pennsylvania’s more than 10,300 poultry operations. The farm euthanized 1.4 million chickens in response to the detection.
Despite the spread of the avian flu at poultry facilities, the state Department of Agriculture has said chicken and other poultry products remain safe to eat.
The avian influenza is being blamed for rising egg prices, which are selling for about $5 a dozen at some stores. Pennsylvania is typically the fourth largest producer of eggs in the nation.
