Just got home from tonight's city council meeting. I had heard what i'm going to say earlier today. A question was asked by a person giving the council notice that there is knowledge that the city of DuBois has paid almost 250K to Herms attorneys for his defense so far. Naturally the council would not reply because it needs to be asked in a different manner. Called the right to know. See what happens next.

Means the establishment is getting scared.

I hear "the establishment" is mounting a smear campaign against at least one of the write-in candidates for "sins" committed over 30 years ago. 
The woman owned her mistake--which turns out to not be a mistake given the outcome.  And has been honest and forthright about other mistakes or missteps she has made.
The only perfect human died on the cross.  
Shame on those that would attempt to disparage her.  I would rather work with someone that can own their mistakes than attempt to cover them up.

As I said, I don't have a dog in this story but it is interesting.  These are the things I try to remember while reading the posts

Won't underestimate a woman.

Won't underestimate a woman who is not poor by any means
Won't underestimate a women with a very extensive family name who has been in the law business forever.
Won't underestimate a powerful determined rich, educated, well known woman when i don' know all the facts.
Have a hard time believing that a woman with all these attributes would allow herself to get backed into a corner that she created. That makes no sense at all. 
BUT BUT BUTT it is an interesting morning past time.
 

The fact the grand jury didn't have Cherry testify, could mean something could be possibly be related to her.  I wouldn't be surprised if she's involved as well.   

If people want change, there are the below write in candidates:
 
Pat Reasinger for mayor
Jennifer Jackson for counsel
Elliot Gelfand  for counsel

No mention of the $60,000 yearly garbage payments to the city  that the should of been placed into a city account for disbursement.

I believe the reporter travels and specializes in various city government wrong doings and scandals.

It's going to cost us taxpayers a lot of money to keep this going. His attorneys are not cheap. Yet there Herm was at the country club last night. Probably visiting with our city attorney. Just has no remorse over this. 

Are you serious? For real? And that is why individuals (the state investigators) are put into a position to find the truth no matter what they may find out. Did anyone in this area think that Herm was actually making (and spending) that much money as he was spending LEGALLY?.

I'm not defending anyone, I'm defending our judicial system.  Individuals that know the law much better than you do are put in the positions for a reason.  Let the process work itself out.  If he's guilty, he deserves to be punished.   If he's innocent, people like you deserve to give him an apology.

According to a Facebook post this morning, Jennifer Jackson spoke about the planting of flowers downtown for the City each year.  Last night our fine City Council voted she is not permitted to plant flowers in the parking lot at Luigi's this year.  Things that make ya say hmmmm?

Is he not allowed to leave his house?  He is not on house arrest.  All americans are innocent until proven guilty.

Also I should remind people who are not registered to vote to go do that soon.
If you complain and do not vote you really shouldn't because the solution to the problem is to get out and vote. By not voting you are not helping to solve anything.
