And yet he still is working?  That's a slap in the face to the citizens of DuBois.  How does the state go about taking over? 

Maybe a temporary state takeover of the City of DuBois is needed because it appears that there was a systematic failure by all in power.

Remain vigilant? If one is to remain vigilant one needs to have been so in the past. In view of recent developments, that seems to have not been so. Perhaps council intends to become vigilant? Perhaps council is busy purchasing locks for some or all of the barn doors?

Bad enough that he is accused of stealing money from the taxpayers of the City of DuBois and the people that donated to the United Way but to steal from the donations made to the volunteer fire department that he was a long term member of shows that he has no scruples what so ever. 😡

I dont care what side the fence a person is on - but if they are doing illegal or dirty stuff, they should be charged and arrested to stand trial.

The first arrest is the most important one.  In an instant,  everyone involved knows that they are probably next. This is when they start ratting on each other. I'm thinking,  ... this might be bigger than we thought. 

I heard today that there is a landslide going down with him eventually!  Not surprising.

We are committed to ensuring integrity is maintained within DuBois city government, which, we believe epitomizes Herm’s tenure as City Manager.

The whole thing started with a concerned citizen writing a letter.

The question is? Will Herm take the  total hit or sing on others?  Where were the City Treasurer and Auditors? The Mayor? Board of Community Days? Who did he have business quid pro quo deals with?(Which contractors?) Who did he owe gambling debts to? How deep are the investigators going to go?  Stay Tuned. And that's not including the political favors.

Agreed!  The people at the junk yard have police and prison records a mile long which includes the unfortunate death of a daughter. The parents are indirectly involved but are not nasty people.  They are victims too but can't straighten this mess out alone.

The story is...when the house next door was for sale... the clowns at the "junkyard" sabotaged the septic system to try and get a lower price on property.  They were caught, and their little scheme backfired. Now they are trying to get someone to take responsibility for a mess they themselves created. If you know any of the history of these clowns, they have gotten away with so much stuff, it makes you sick when you live nearby and see it firsthand.
