Suplizio Case: Dubois Police Chief

Looks like the Chief is involved. He was the courier of the money from Toni Cherry to the bank. Plus he and herm were unduly trying to influence Sheetz to drop charges against Randy Schmidt. The Chief should be put on administrative leave  until this is sorted out.  I know the Sheetz women who they approached. Shes no nonsense. Good for her going to the State Police.

I disagree about implicating the chief in being the courier of "the ceiling tile money" to the bank--someone needed to secure it--the bank, in a reported separate account, did that.  He was acting as a city employee securing money that is believed to belong to the city's taxpayers.

TC holding it for any length of time is wrong and she should be held accountable for those actions.

The other part about chief though--I agree.  Strongly suggesting that charges be dropped just because of who someone is, is wrong.  However, we really don't need another employee receiving a paycheck while they sit on their sofa watching Hulu and not working.  One is bad enough.  Send him to work.

How can you guys be so sure the Chief was in on pressuring the Sheetz Manager to drop the charges?  The way I read the report that is going around, Mr. Suplizio stated that the Chief was also on the line with him and the Sheetz lady, but was he really?  I read nothing of what the Chief supposedly spoke, so I wonder if he was even in on the call.  Perhaps it was just a ploy by Mr. Suplizio to pressure the lady.  I would be very careful about implicating the Chief of Police.  I have never heard a bad word about him, and as far as I can see, he has been very upstanding.  Also, if someone is guilty of theft, I seriously doubt he is going to try to cover it up.

woman at sheetzz says she was approached by them.....no phone call mentioned .....Emeril sez..

I got my info from WJAC Channel 6 on line.  The court document is there in PDF form if you want to check.  Read pages 54 and 55, which is "Incident with Mayor Randy Schmidt."  You will see that the Police Chief is not mentioned until the second time Mr. Suplizio contacted Ms. Potter, the Loss Prevention Person for Sheetz.  And the "mention" was later in the call when Mr. Suplizio wasn't getting anywhere.  What does that say to you?

IF (and a strong IF) our police chief had anything to do with any kind of phone call it is because our former disgraced city manager pressured him because he said i'm your boss. And i hired you. It's all probably going to come back to Squirm and the city mistress calling all the shots and the employees afraid to second guess them.

So you have a police chief that tampers with witness and an attorney that withholds evidence both still on the job.

Where is the Clfd. Cnty DA. ,when obviously needed , or AG to apply charges against a city attorney who withholds money from the AG by admission from her self until she feels the need to " hand it over "  ???

Read on WTAJ about the recent city council meeting. I am suspicious of this Jackson woman who keeps showing up and is now apparently running for council. It seems odd to me how she has all this time on her hands. She legit???

Ms. Jackson and her husband own several businesses, entities, and properties in DuBois.  She was raised here and cares about this city.  Her family lives here.  She cares.  Legitimately.

Carl, Do you even reside in this area code?  Acting like you've never heard of her running for council until all of this tells me you aren't.

In my defense, I was relating it to the story about the Sheetz employee who "was approached."  That implies it was in person.  In person--as in he was there.  I hope it's not true.  I too would rather think his name was dropped than he was present.

Apparently the voters think she is legit. As a write in candidate she secured both ballot positions against the incumbents with over 95% of the vote. Hard to argue with these results.

I doubt the Sheetz woman would put her life on a perjury charge in front of the Grand Jury in Allegheny County. She took an oath.

Generally speaking, an elected official with 'financial interests' does turn out too well.
