  2. peppers done fairly well. I did not lpant many. Tomatoes are doing great and so is the celery. Watermelons I have a half dozen or more of a couple varieties. Picked my last onion tonight. Wahhhh. This is the first time I got onions to grow bigger than what I started with.

  3. I'm finally getting tomatoes, hoping to get enough for a couple of loads to can. Peppers are crazy! I'm going to do a couple of loads of them in the next few days. At least one in evoo and vinegar and one in evoo and sauce. I already did two loads of refrigerator pickled peppers. And we stuffed a bunch and froze them. The cukes are about done. And my squash aren't looking too happy either. My peas got this white film on them so we pulled them early and now the squash has the same thing, so we're going to pull them. I hope everyone's gardens are doing well!

    Is it just me?

It is a nice body style. Getting a 2 1/2 inch leveling kit put on Friday to give it a better stance, The front ends are a bit lower than the rear end. It will level it out and then raise it a bit both front and back nothing to drastic. This one should last me until I kick the bucket. I am not buying another one that is unless I win the lottery and I will need one to haul some of those southern chickens up here.

    Is it just me?

I jumped off the cliff and bought a new Chevy 1/2 ton crew cab. My old one was on its last legs and with the rust issues, mechanical issues, well it was time to just bite the bullet and get one. It stickered for over half of what I paid for my home 14 years ago (sickening). I was going to get the 3/4 ton but the LT 1500's had way better rebates. It hasn't hurt yet but it will when the payment starts in October. Not that I am cheap but I was just starting to save some cash.

    Is it just me?

My truck before the King Ranch was a 2008 Silverado 2500HD. I should have kept that truck, pre EGR and DEF, sweetest driving and riding 3/4 ton I've ever been in. I'd be all over one of those if I could find one with lower miles, even if the price is still up there

    First one I ever saw.

This one wasn't taking any chances on the squashing thing. I looked at my phone and looked back. Gone.

  11. Tomato plants are loaded. Got a few cherry tomatoes and one larger one ripe. There is a cauliflower ready to be picked that is 8-10 inches across. It is he nicest of the year. The early rain did in a lot of my plants.

  12. Hubby just gave away a grocery bag full of tomatoes this morning, and I have another to go tomorrow. We've been eating them for a couple of weeks. I will make some juice with some, but I quit making sauce. The black ...whatever...cherry tomatoes were first. I'm not crazy about them. So far we have done 2 bushel of beans and gave away one. Did 20 pints of beets so far, 15 doz ears of corn cut off and frozen. Stuffed and froze 60 peppers. We had a really good cantaloupe yesterday and have some nice watermelon soon ready. We planted 50 lb. of potatoes, so those will have to be dug soon. We've been eating them for a while. I think I took some pictures, perhaps I can post them sometime soon. We've been watering when nature didn't. We set up one of those big liquid holding tanks to catch rain water and with it being elevated a bit from the garden there is enough pressure to water with a hose.

  14. OK, jealous! All I got planted tomatoes-wise was some Spoon Tomatoes. No where near as good for a sandwich!

    Is it just me?

ThIs why I drive an old one. I take care of it and can do most work myself. I am also a believer in spraying oil underneath and in the doors, tailgate in the fall. Never had a rust problem. I do that with all my vehicles.

  17. My hope is that OSHA will be more concerned with possible future issues. Thats not the first landfill to slide, but it's the first I've heard of that took a man with it
