Eastman got a reaction from redmill in Arrest of Dubois City Manager John “Herm” Suplizio
More in depth information was in the Courier Express on Tuesday? 😯
https://www.thecourierexpress.com/news/dubois-city-manager-accused-of-committing-over-620-000-in-fraudulent-transactions/article_8ea8f83c-c741-11ed-944b-5ba587c05460.html
Bad enough that he is accused of stealing money from the taxpayers of the City of DuBois and the people that donated to the United Way but to steal from the donations made to the volunteer fire department that he was a long term member of shows that he has no scruples what so ever. 😡

Eastman reacted to Pompeii in Arrest of Dubois City Manager John “Herm” Suplizio
The first arrest is the most important one. In an instant, everyone involved knows that they are probably next. This is when they start ratting on each other. I'm thinking, ... this might be bigger than we thought.

Eastman reacted to Polo in Blvd pavillion
This is just my 2 cents, but its hard to access the situation when it is in a state of ongoing construction. My thought would be to wait until the whole thing is done and everything is tied together, then form your opinion. This work was not started lightly, and I'm sure it was a long process in the works before ground was ever broken. I'm sure a lot of thought and planning went into this. I'm sure the folks planning it feel that the end result will be spectacular. We should all just wait until its done, then we can all decide for ourselves.

Are they aimed at the lots? If so, then folks watching their property. If aimed at busy insections...great. Remember those cams are there so so the next a-hole that runs the red light cant lie his way out of it.

They knew it was flying over Alaska and Canada. Your voted for government knows way more than we do about this invasion of our air space.

Eastman got a reaction from pennstater in Chinese Spy Balloon?
It was the same one and they finally did shoot it down after clearing land into the Atlantic Ocean. Of course this was after it crossed the whole United States from Montana to North Carolina. Should have been done as soon as it crossed the western border!

Eastman reacted to pennstater in Biden wants $60,000 minimum teacher salaries(Tax increases)
Are you prepared to pay out then? It’s your wallet where the money will come from. The cost of everything would rise as well to keep in line. It’s basic economics. Look at the costs now due in part to jobs like McDonald’s entry level jobs starting at 12 an hour. In the end the the raise was pointless. Most jobs now start at 10 plus an hour. The average household is paying 7-8 thousand dollars more a year than we did a couple years ago. You can’t keep jacking up wages without this effect.

I agree that we need teachers but if you knew the wage when you went to college and still went, how can one complain. If I didn’t like the wage I’m be paid I would seek other employment. I know this post won’t be popular with some but some are never happy.

Eastman got a reaction from Polo in nasty out
I never left my house in Falls Creek with no back up heat Friday. I ran a steady trickle of water upstairs and down stairs and luckily no frozen lines being it got down to 34 degrees inside the house before the power FINALLY came back on about 10:30 Saturday morning after 26 1/2 hours. My furnace ran for 45 minutes before it finally got up to 70 degrees and cycled back on several time before it got everything else warmed back up, ie furniture, walls, and floors before settling down to more normal. It sucked!!! So I left town.
I know one thing, that much procrastinated generator over the years will be purchased after going through this.

Eastman reacted to Bon in Meet my granddaughter Faith Marie
Yesterday was Faith Marie’s 8th month birthday. She is 13# & 24 1/2” long. She loves most baby foods, loves to “talk”, & knows who is talking to her. She has been learning so much stuff this past month. Her appt in Pitts went well, so well in fact, the Drs said that Faith would live past her 1st birthday. With all the prayers this little girl has in our area, state, and country, God hears them, and He has healed most of the problems she was born with! Thank you Jesus!!

Faith was 6 mos on July 15th, that’s a 9-18% survival rate for trisomy 18 babies. Faith will defy the odds and keep proving that there is power in prayer!

She is 9# now. I forget how long she is, but she is getting longer by the week.
All the prayers have been working. The holes in her heart (3) have closed up, the apnea has gone away, & there was one other thing but I cannot think of it right now.
Faith Marie still needs prayers as she needs to build up neck muscles & other problems. 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻

Eastman got a reaction from steelnut in Hotel in Falls Creek
The Hotel Emery is long gone along with most all historic buildings in Falls Creek.
...With the construction of a two-story brick store and residence built by Mr. J. L. Reed to spur grown, other homes quickly followed and the town was named Evergreen. A large, four-story hotel, the Lamontague, was erected at the corner of Main and First Streets and provided porches with easy seats from which to view the crowded streets each night. Until it burned down nearly a dozen years later, the Lamontague was the center of activity for the community. Two other hotels served the town during its boom days, the Emory on Main Street and the Casey House on Taylor Avenue. It was not until 1890 that streets were laid out and tree stumps finally cleared from the land. A few houses and stores stood along the street lines, but in rainy weather, rubber boats were required to reach them...
