Local businessman speaks out on charges against DuBois manager | News | thecourierexpress.com. Denny Raybuck is related to Herm. He is married to Herm's cousin.

With everybody opening their mouths we are now finding out who's who   some of the behind the scene players are and the connections..  These names have been  already discussed publically  in the media.   Everybody on the  City Council. The Mayor. Scarnati. Varischetti, Cherry, and now Raybuck.  Who's next? No wonder the AG is just sitting back right now and watching.  Everybody is innocent unless proven guilty in court.  Sit back. Make sure you have enough :popcorn:and:beer: watch the drama. This situation has set back the area after  finally it was making moves  forward.

I watched some of us clips floating around. Cherry was so mad, someone must of pissed in her Cheerios.

and where can we see those clips. I saw one yesterday that was posted on here but would love to see more. I personally think all council meetings across the USA should be videotaped and available to the public for viewing

Enlighten me please...Herman's Hermits the chaos continues...

Have you read the article published today in the Courier Express from  the Solicitor?  She's defending the payment of Herms legal fees explaining the poor man didn't have a dime to his name, and his bank accounts were frozen. Yet? and that's a big yet, they weren't sure who the AG was targeting but chose to help the poor guy out?  That doesn't make sense does it?  Also they paid his legal fees "not knowing" charges were coming and extended his contract a week prior to the charges being filed?  Enlighten me also if he doesn't have a current bank account how is he cashing his pay check?  Have his bank accounts been freed up, or are they cashing a check and giving him the cash?  Are those invoices in the sealed envelopes approved without being looked at, at the council meetings?  I'm confused.

Very good points. I had to read it twice to make sure i understood it but still not sure i'm understanding her thinking. Is she looking out for the best interests of the city (like she's supposed to] or is she in so deep with Squirm trying to get a casino into her hotel that she's scrambling now? She says she is not a criminal lawyer but rather a civil lawyer (and probably couldn't win a case anywhere other than Clearfield County} but she better have a criminal lawyer on retainer. Like i said after the council meeting when she made her infamous statement (you don't get to ask questions you get to make comments} she just needed time to come up with some fancy mumbo jumbo bullshit lawyer type of reply.

If you follow the trail of articles she definitely contradicts what she said previously.

Ok, I’m not saying too much on this issue because that hotel that she owns is where i work and we are doing a fantastic business because of the staff we have! We are currently 5 in the country if I’m not mistaken in the hotel businesse! It has nothing to do with putting a casino in and the stuff that is currently going on is weddings and pool parties and all kinds of different events! So please, do not put this hotel down!

$270,000 seems quite excessive.

It is kind of a catch 22.  Since he has not been proven guilty, let's assume he was operating within his contracted and legal capacity.  He would expect the City to defend his actions as an employee. Of course, his tax evasion charges defense should be funded by him.  If he is found guilty, part of his sentencing should be to pay back the city.

I do find it concerning the AG and government can confiscate your assests before you are proven guilty.  Freeze, yes.

The solicitor was wrong to state the city was paying legal bills because he had no money.  She made it sound as a personal thing.

If Herm had a contract as manager of Sandy Township, he would of been fired last April and no legal fees paid. Only a corrupt organization would pay his legal fees.

If you mean because of my statement i did not want to give that impression. The ability to do a good job comes from management and employees and not from ownership.

Yes the AG can legally take assets before charges if there is a warrant during a investigation.   I have been involved in a AG investigation in another state and they usually have all all the T's creatures cross and I's dotted.  They don't want anything to compromise their case.  I'm thinking there's is a reason AG didn't have Toni testify.   They probably already had enough evidence and second, they're holding that card till trial. Or she's being investigated herself.

That is a nice hotel.  And to keep the  Corporate National Charter membership you have to meet their standards. Or you lose the Naming rights. Ive seen too many local hotels locally who start well but end up looking like a wreck or close.  That's a tribute to YOU and the employees.

Well. When anyone gets in trouble and is indigent they have public defenders available.
