Protect the identity of the whistleblower. They had reasons for wanting to stay anonymous. If they want people to know who they are, they can step forward. Why expose the one person that had the integrity to say something about dealings that looked wrong to them? There were many people that had to know, yet said nothing. The allegations, if found to be true, involve big names and multiple levels in the community. Their influence could make things rough. Again, they all deserve their day in court. Here's to hoping ALL of them pay if they are found guilty, big names included...or maybe, especially the big names.

The current VFW's and AM Legion, perhaps even the AmVets is discouraging. When I was a boy, my uncle - a pilot in WWII - would take me along with him to the Am Leg and the VFW. I would get an orange pop and wander around the club. My memory is that there was more to those clubs than a bar with less expensive booze. There were locations set aside where members and guests could sit in comfortable chairs and read the news papers, or just sit quietly. It was a place JUST FOR VETERANS. In my adult life these clubs have permitted so-called "social members" to crowd in for the bar. No more exclusiveness for veterans who earned the right to have their own club. It has been years since I was in any of them. By the way, I am retired military. Marines in the early 60's with a year at Danang, later 3 years as a weapons instructor for a Navy Seabee Bn, some years in various Nat'l Guard units, I retired when I came home from Desert Storm/

A hypocrite never believes that he/she has to live by they rules they make up. They just expect everyone else to live by their rules. So when you ask a hypocrite why your life sucks more than it ever has, you get a hypocritical answer that makes no damn sense at all. Don't forget to vote for more of the same come silly season. What you have been voting for is working out for you, ain't it?????? Buy a windmill, use your solar panels for a tanning bed with the money you don't have. I'm shocked. (very heavy sarcasm intended) More like the last 20 years or so.

Much damage has already been done to this area and if convicted, the public must demand full disclosure of everyone involved. There are parties on the peripheral that may not have done anything illegal (assuming a conviction), but they certainly should have known something was not right. If the indicted are found guilty, I certainly hope the city pursues a civil trial to claw back identified money (this is in addition to criminal penalties).

Apparently the voters think she is legit. As a write in candidate she secured both ballot positions against the incumbents with over 95% of the vote. Hard to argue with these results.

We as Pennsylvanians should be so proud that a senator from our great state has single handedly abolished... racism ?? Nope, Cancer?? , Nope... anything important to his constituents??, nope. Another thing is that the hospitals also replaced cold & flu numbers as covid. BIG BUCKS when they treat and admit covid patients. Just because the test shows positive doesn't mean you have covid, which was an easy way to get the covid numbers UP and the cold & flu numbers DOWN! I know many many people who tested positive for covid and didn't even have a sniffle, and I'm sure they still counted them as a covid number.

Wearing a mask just shows everyone how stupid you are. CDC accidently admits that masks do not work. The only thing masks do is restrict oxygen from your normal breathing. Just remember they lied about the Vaccine, just so you know, there are no boundaries with their fake info.

HOLIDAY EATING TIPS 1. Avoid carrot sticks. Anyone who puts carrots on a holiday buffet table knows nothing of the Holiday spirit. In fact, if you see carrots, leave immediately. Go next door, where they're serving rum balls. 2. Drink as much eggnog as you can. And quickly, it's rare. You cannot find it any other time of year but now. So drink up! Who cares that it has 10,000 calories in every sip? It's not as if you're going to turn into an eggnog-alcoholic or something. It's a treat. Enjoy it. Have one for me. Have two. It's later than you think. It's Christmas! 3. If something comes with gravy, use it. That's the whole point of gravy. Gravy does not stand alone. Pour it on. Make a volcano out of your mashed potatoes. Fill it with gravy. Eat the volcano. Repeat. 4. As for mashed potatoes, always ask if they're made with skim milk or whole milk. If it's skim, pass. Why bother? It's like buying a sports car with an automatic transmission. 5. Do not have a snack before going to a party in an effort to control your eating. The whole point of going to a Holiday party is to eat other people's food for free. Lots of it. Hello? 6. Under no circumstances should you exercise between now and New Year's. You can do that in January when you have nothing else to do. This is the time for long naps, which you'll need after circling the buffet table while carrying a 10-pound plate of food and that vat of eggnog. 7. If you come across something really good at a buffet table, like frosted Christmas cookies in the shape and size of Santa position yourself near them and don't budge. Have as many as you can before becoming the center of attention. They're like a beautiful pair of shoes. If you leave them behind, you're never going to see them again. 8. Same for pies. Apple, Pumpkin, Mincemeat. Have a slice of each. Or if you don't like mincemeat, have two apples and one pumpkin. Always have three. When else do you get to have more than one dessert, Labor Day? 9. Did someone mention fruitcake? Granted, it's loaded with the mandatory celebratory calories but avoid it at all cost. I mean, have some standards. 10. One final tip: If you don't feel terrible when you leave the party or get up from the table, you haven't been paying attention. Re-read tips; start over, but hurry, January is just around the corner. I agree everyone has a right to due process. Still, there is every indication of lots of improper acts as we all agree. My question is when will these additional arrests come? Does the two-tier justice system so prevalent in our country apply to City officials too? One admitted in public to obstructing an investigation, yet nothing has happened. I am frustrated, discouraged, and angry.

A follow up to this post. Whomever on this site that called the election board trying to file a complaint against me for writing this should of just maybe concerned themselves with other issues like maybe how corrupt and unprofessional our council had been acting in the last month or so. Sorry it didn't work out in your favor. And as the results are showing we did not run out of ink. The write in candidates were working at every precinct but it appeared no incumbents were trying to save their positions.

Was brought to my attention today that the sample ballot that is shown in our local paper only has 1 spot for a write in on both tickets. Both the Republican and Democratic incumbents are listed with just one space open after their names. It says to vote for no more than 2. Seems like they're forcing you to vote for an incumbent with only 1 write in. I do work at my local precient hall and i'm calling Clearfield in the morning to see if this can be explained. I.m sure they'll be lots of questions regarding this on Tuesday.

I find it hard to believe that towns people are not going to meeting s and screaming for heads to roll.I was raised in the city and if I lived there I would be there every single day. It might not be that easy but they would be afraid. For a town that size paying someone that much money is ridiculous. And to continue to be paying for staying home is ridiculous.

If you gave to the United Way then your money went to a Charity called the City of DuBois.Why would anyone now donate money to the United Way when the city solicitor can go collect money at will.

Like i said after the council meeting when she made her infamous statement (you don't get to ask questions you get to make comments} she just needed time to come up with some fancy mumbo jumbo bullshit lawyer type of reply.

She's defending the payment of Herms legal fees explaining the poor man didn't have a dime to his name, and his bank accounts were frozen. Yet? and that's a big yet, they weren't sure who the AG was targeting but chose to help the poor guy out? That doesn't make sense does it? Also they paid his legal fees "not knowing" charges were coming and extended his contract a week prior to the charges being filed? Enlighten me also if he doesn't have a current bank account how is he cashing his pay check? Have his bank accounts been freed up, or are they cashing a check and giving him the cash? Are those invoices in the sealed envelopes approved without being looked at, at the council meetings? I'm confused.

No. The State didn't whiff. The State charges were merged with the Federal charges and an Assistant from the State Attorney's general Office was appointed as a Special Assistant To the US Attorney General's Staff to work with them on the case. No charges were dropped, just merged with the Federal Charges.

Anyone pay attention to the election return numbers? Mail in voting has to stop. It’s blatant what’s happening. You can see it in the numbers. Well my thread title fits 91 views in 2 hours and only 1 response. I think it just shows that everyone is just tired of the ongoing witch hunt and they already have their feeling cemented on the subject. Every day we have more and more citizens that just don't care anymore because they can't change a thing.

What gets me is that she is making Sandy Townships request for a temporary injunction look like a major case. All she is doing is trying to get more billable hours from the city. A first year law student could see that it isn't a major case but she can't.

Me too, many times over. They are conscientious, skilled and have a great sense of humor at all the right times! Sorting out his nonsense correctly means a lot to them, emergency services and our police also. My daughter's tiny Jack Russel Terrier always crawled into tight spaces and groundhog holes, and eventually got caught underneath a concrete floor in our wood shop, TWICE!!. There was no way for us to reach her and it was getting later in the day. We finally had to call the fire company to see if they could help. Cars of volunteers and police showed up. I was almost embarrassed to death because they had to stay for hours. When I apologized for the umpteenth time, they said not to worry, it gave them a chance to use equipment they need to practice with. They worked hard and finally rescued her from where her collar had gotten snagged on a piece of rebar, and they all laughed and cheered when she finally came out with a very dirty and tired volunteer. It was wonderful to see them working together with such dedication and humor even over a tiny little dog. They said to call them again if we needed them, and behold, it did, and they came laughing. We made a project of hunting up any holes and sealing them thoroughly. Didn't want them having too much fun! No telling what else could have been under there. We always took off her collar when she came to visit after that, and till we sealed the holes, my husband would watch Bentley and the groundhog that was making the holes run in one side of the floor and come out the other side, alternately chasing each other.
